No hardware required other than a pc wifi router and android phone ofc Installed winamp plugin on pc ran this app and it worked instantly no configuration at all Simple as that Remote works from every room in the house 5 5 for ease of use functionality u0026 for being completely free Huge thanks to David Malzner you saved me from buying a stupid infrared USB remote                     Exactly what I was looking for Gregor Smith

I have never written a review for any software until now I have to praise this app I downloaded the app onto my tablet then ran the file from the website to add a plugin to winamp I look at my tablet and open the app to configure the connection and to my surprise the app is already showing the song currently running on winamp and is good to go Amazing A monkey could get this thing working right                     Awesome App Super easy to get working Wallace Williams

Finally an app that does what it should Super quick and responsive Runs via a winamp plugin rather than needing installation of a server application on pc desktop Allows the adding of songs from library unlike RemoteControlForWinamp But looks so fugly Fix that and you have a winner                 Does the job Looks horrible Samuel Hayton

Hidden server no window no tray icon no system application just winamp plugin Zero problem config and run Instant on fly scroll controls No system notification widget Some or to be specific most of mine of the album artwork covers are not displayed Can t find out what s wrong with them Overall app design to be honest it s ugly No stop button only pause                 Almost perfect some issues wolo wolson

The app works great but could use a little polish A UI makeover would make this a 5 star app The oversized control buttons make it less likely to press the wrong one by mistake but they are pretty ugly The dev did a great job otherwise One thing to note don t make the same mistake I did and wonder why it was not connecting Add a Windows Firewall exception on the computer with Winamp or turn off the Windows Firewall completely if you re behind a home router with its own NAT firewall and don t need it                 Works great Andrew Wescoat

I don t know why people are not interested in this app I have tried many other applications but I had too many complications This app is an easy way to set up and it actually works                     Still works well A Google user

As others have said needs a better way of queuing up the next song If you re on shuffle the current method is no use Other than that good and I would pay if the queuing was sorted so it could use winamps built in system             Ok but David Gadd

Its quality is its simplicity You can search your current playlist or your library which is enough It s fast compared to other apps that are slow and clunky such as aWARemote or RemoteControl Its appearance is not too good but it s clear and it just works One downside is no support for the covers embedded in FLAC files The app is not developed anymore so I guess we ll have to enjoy it like it currently is forever                 Quentin Lowagie

I m looking for an app that will do proper file queuing not just move the file beneath the current file in the playlist WinAmp has a beautiful enqueue feature Alt q why can t this app utilize that instead of moving the song beneath the currently playing song in the playlist This is a pain because as you re looking through your playlist and finding songs to play and Enque one the song moves from where it is in the playlist to a new location below the currently playing song messing up any order you have in your playlist It would be nice to have a separate screen with your queued songs and allow you to move the songs around in your queue while keeping your playlist as is and just play songs from your queued list if you create one Fix this and I will give it 5 out of 5 If anyone knows of an app that will do what I m looking for let me know but this one doesn t do this yet hope it will in the future I d gladly pay for that feature if it would work well                 Needs better queuing system Guy Lajeunesse

I like the small form factor of the winamp plugin no client application required but it fails to sync playlist and library Only play controls work Also UI is horrible         Miklos Bene

this is an amazing app but lacks a good widget there are only two controls in the widget play pause and fwd track If the widget has all the basic controls if the volume buttons of the phone are in sync with the app then its wonderful Also please change the User interface D make it a little interesting Wonderful App though loved it i always wanted an app like this D i would definitely give this app 5 stars if the changes are made             Awesome App BUT Rohit H

I expected there to be some kind of difficult install but it was incredibly easy to install on my phone and install the plugin on winamp My only slight criticism would be that it could do with a more pleasant interface but in terms of function it s spot on                     Easy and quick Ben Jewell

Works without any hassle Those who aren t really getting their playlist I think they ll just need to disable the Firewall once so that the app gets the data Then you can go back to enabling firewall or make an exclusion controls will still work on the app Seemlessly syncs about 1500 songs in a playlist so thats a high 5 from me                     Woohoo Shaunak Kar

A must have app for every Winamp user Has a few bugs but overall good app                     I love it A Google user

Too bad that WinAmp is a dead platform going forward But for now this app is really great Main pros Automatically detects server Just worked for me Multiuser headed support Means that one server can be controlled via multiple phones tablets Again It just works except as noted below in cons As a change is made on one phone the song selection changes on all others automatically Very cool Main cons Only supports portrait mode Oh my what a gaffe I put a tablet on the wall in several of the rooms of my house I want LANDSCAPE MODE because the security cameras are all landscape mode devices and these tablets all use another android app to view the cameras David PLEASE add landscape mode Poor GUI scaling for tablets App targets phones Need tablet GUI mode taking advantage of increased tablet real estate Example enlarge slider buttons etc Volume control is not seamless multiuser If one person changes volume on one phone the volume control is not adjusted automatically on all units This app is within a stones throw of being a home run                     Nice app really nice Dave Tobias

I can control my music now anywhere in wifi range Looks good on a tablet or on a smartphone Impresses the heck out of everyone who sees it I m running Winamp on the pc connected to a big screen and the stereo using SQRsoft cross fader plug in on Winamp This remote gives me the complete package                     Finally found the right one Mark McBreen
