Works well with few glitches I use it at work when I have non English speakers as patients on the ambulance It would be nice if I had the option to check the voice recognition in my own language before it is spoken in the target language just because I have experienced a few issues with the mis recognition of my voice leading to completely inappropriate phrases being spoken in the target language                     Peter Noble

Well the recent upgrade is great and all but what happened to the dictionary offline I thought only voice translation wouldn t work Can you please make the dictionary work offline synonyms are really important The translator doesn t get the right words most of the time so offline dictionary is a must Thanks             B Gaming

It is likely to be based upon the spoken language in their native dialect and pronunciation This makes it less accurate when I as Danish person speaks English so maybe your program can allow for a broader sound spectrum recognizing the sound of each spoken word Maybe have a text pop up selection people can choose from I love it despite its short comings Thank you                 Mikael Lund

App is not useful for listening to TV Russian and and Chinese App displays text before reading out huge delay For text it accurately gives one sentence then cuts out and stops listening Stop start is not useful But better than Google translate which can t keep up with speech and truncates the sentence before moving to the next For text perhaps this app could do with a split screen Left screen has finishing translation of last sentence Right screen starts translating the second             Ross Anderson

I am an educator and I use the the Microsoft Translator add in a lot in PowerPoint It s not perfect but I m thinking the AI wil be spot on at some point in time My request to the devs can you make it possible to select a bluetooth headset or microphone attached to the phone instead of just using the built in microphone of the phone If you can do that I ll give 5 stars                 George Carlo Lomboy

Actually a 4 star app An update that included a hot mic feature would get me to change it into a solid 5 I need to activate it to continually translate so I can read what the woman running the register at the convenient store is saying in Hindi all the while refusing to acknowledge me except just to take my money How rude Is that acceptable behavior in India I should have the right to translate all audible speech I ll bet that she wouldn t do that if I understood what was being said             Todd Smith

Text recognition from camera and picture does not work offline I can only change downloaded languages while off line if it s English to foreign If it s foreign to foreign or foreign to English it ll say that it changed the languages but it ll keep translating from the language last used online Tried reinstalling and re downloading the languages but the problem persist         Sersys Sheol

It is not able to filter environmental noise and it is not directional meaning it catch all the voices around making translation messy It works well in quiet places In real life is hard to use because you always are with environment noise and people speaking around you I will rise at 5 starts when this is fixed                 Automation Technology

I m using Microsoft Translator as a supplement to learning Japanese It s very useful for looking up words and phrases I m having difficulty in remembering The photo translator works well as long as the font isn t too fancy it has trouble with the print on food packaging Easy to use and I found it intuitive to learn I tried several translators and this one was clearly the best for me                     Richard Greenfield

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this app worked I was in Barcelona but shared the table with a man from China who spoke no English He used the app on his phone showed me the translation and I answered using my phone and showing him the response It worked brilliantly                 Judy Minkin
