Terrible interface not intuitive or friendly at all I follow the instructions and scan the received QR code The app then gives a message Ilegal code and I cannot do anything else I have no idea why it is ilegal or how to solve the issue The A C and the wifi kit are Midea original equipment so the code should be correct Then trying to follow the manual setup when the step to connect to the wifi of the A C is done nothing happens I tried everything several times unsucessfully I gave up No support to go to     Elie Barsimantov

Didn t work Bought the unit for it s supposed ability to connect to WiFi and smart home But I m trying to setup the WiFi connection got to the fourth step the start configuration button is disabled Without that connection I can t do anything with this app Very dissatisfied with the app and the product     Marvin Palmer

Installed wifi adapter on my Midea AC inverter I saw people had trouble with this but the instalation took me 3 minutes and everything is working fine The AC turns on instantly when I sm not on my home wifi I am running Android 8 on Honor 8 I just don t see any reason why I should log in every time I start the app It s annoying hence 4 stars                 Tomislav Basic

Works well after install workaround The app would not add the AC using my S7 phone Installed the app on an older android phone and it added the AC to my account Now it shows on both phones The unit isnt cooling at the moment yet the app s check function show it runs 104 tests and everything passes the tests The app seems to set the control options on the AC well                 Go Leo

Step 4 4 of the setup is greyed out so I can t press start configuration Used to work not sure if the app has been updated and broken or it doesn t work with the latest android version Either way it s useless now Please fix     Alfonso

The Midea Air app works great but the only important drawback that i can find is that when you link your account with Google Home the answer you get is I can t reach air condition right now Please try again I hope the problem will be solve soon for completing the smart home             George Mavronas

I set a timer to turn off When it turns on it defaults to Celsius and ECO The app needs to save MY settings of Fahrenheit Dry or Cool or whatever I have it set to But cool to be be able to use my smartphone             Bill Glessner

Tried to add a Window AC unit to the app I get all the way through the steps on both Android and Apple and it fails at the last step at 99 connecting the phone back to WiFi My phone is already connected back and it still FAILS I have emailed the developer but I have not received a response The main reason I bought this unit was because I could connect it to WiFi     Chad Claussen

Both the installation engineer and I weren t able to connect the device to my phone Like other reviewers the installation appears to hang at 99 of connecting my phone to the internet even though the phone is connected THANKS TO ANOTHER REVIEWER I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO CONFIGURE THE UNITS I HAD TO ADD PERMISSION FOR TELEPHONE TO THE APP AND THEN IT WORKED The units are often flagged as offline meaning they can t connect to my Wi Fi In order to connect them I have to add them again         Malcolm Gruber

i have tried to get this to connect no success several times and it wont gdt pass connect the appliance but a few times it got to reconnect phone to wifi and stops at 99 percent this only occurred 3 times the other times it stopped at connect to phone bouncing back to reconnect to wifi configuring     Diane Manson

I was never able to connect the AC to my WIFI via the Android app on my S7 I was however able to using my iPhone 7 in less than 30 seconds I can run the App on my S7 and now see the AC device and control it Also I m able to control via Google Home     Tony Turcotte

You can t set up the air con in Android Pie An older phone with earlier version of Android works but why does it need location Once it is set up it doesn t work at all If you go in to app settings you can add mobile phone permission why does it need this and it might work Occasionally It looks like the app is talking to a server and the server is using to the air con but one or both of those pathways don t work reliably Frustrating Update a week later the app appears to be working now which is a plus But my phone battery life has collapsed Turning off location has fixed this issue Midea the culprit WHY DOES IT NEED LOCATION AND PHONE PERMISSIONS         Thomas W-P

How hard would it be to write programmable temperature settings into this app Temperature programming is one of the most basic features of any other smart or non smart thermostat going back to the 90s yet this doesn t have it The UI is already halfway there for it but it can only be used as a sleep curve to turn the temperature down gradually only once at a time The pairing process for this was clunky enough already and the lack of functionality makes this service barely worth my time     Brendan McCoy

I tried to pair the AC s triple unit Mission PRO with my Galaxy S10 Android Pie and it failed continously on step 1 The error kept getting was Device connect exception I updated the app with today s update 17 5 2019 but still the same error I also tried using a fixed IP And I tried three different routers All with 2 4Ghz I then used an older phone Galaxy S7 Edge with Android Oreo and I could finally do the connection The apps works fine on the S7 The good news is that now when I log in again with the app on the S10 that the units are visible and can be used from the app on the S10 So it s basically an issue with either Android Pie or the Pie version of Samsung For other users having this issue please try to pair the device with an older Android version on another phone or maybe iphone and then log in on your Pie device Also 1 star less for not supporting 5Ghz I haven t checked the other more advanced functions yet             LaTiNo Diaz

I did not have any issues setting up the device and app But remeber it has to be a 2 4Ghz network I m a bit disappointed you cannot set up a better schedule for the unit for energy conservation running the unit to heat cool a space in morning before work tgen again before arriving home Seems like the app is close to having this but it wasnt included for some reason The sleep curve and one on off timer setting is also strange and not a correct solution to programming a proper schedule         Micheal Taylor

I would give you 5 stars if I could find the approval notification sent when you want to share the AC Midea Blanc R32 device on android to another phone using Midea AIR app After I scan the QR Code from the first phone on share device option it is saying to wait to approve but I never receive the notification that I have to approve that device Any help Note activate location when you want to add the AC on Midea AIR app     Andrei Andrei
