If you are Android owner,you now can download Custom Maps for free from Google Play. The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.3.8 has been released on 2014-11-26. I ve been doing some offroad woods driving using maps from whatever park I visit The problem is some trails are easy to miss just looking at a static map Google maps gps mapping is great but it doesnt match the park map Google maps is either missing valid park trails or has ones which are not valid trails This looks like exactly what I need to take a park map and use the gps position on THAT map I havent tried it anywhere except at home but this seems to do exactly what I need Thanks                     Dave

track polyline support i placed polyline instead of placemark in same folder of kmz app is not of much use without overlays of polylines and placemarks on it hope to see these features soon                 Kuldeep Choudhary

What a great app thank you Is it possible to adjust the overlay once in the preview mode rather than going back a step if this could be done it would be brilliant I ve been after an app like this for a long time but all the others have failed where this has succeeded                 A Google user

The map function is very good I think it will be even better if you can allow overlay of 2 custom maps and the transparency between one and the other is adjustible so that we can compare the first and second layer of maps Eg Overlay of a general and a geological map                 k tseng

I use this app on a Samsung galaxy S7 that I mount on my snowmobile Having the offline map is great when I m on trips where I haven t been before I pull in a jpeg of the local trail map and this app tells me where I m at related to the tail system whether I m on or off trail And is offline Would be cool if I could make one or more of the info numbers bigger so it s easier to see when on a snowmobile Keep up the bug fixes Thanks                     Collin Miller

This app did save my life I used it for hiking in Hokkaido where an electronic map was not available to me and Google just didn t work as there s no mobile reception in the mountains All I had was just a picture of the park topo map and this app I would have lost in the winter snow storm and died there if it s not this app Thanks                     Jian Jiao

This is a really great little app for snapping shots of park maps and georeferencing them while on the go Had a small issue issue with it at first trying to use a map way too large but the developer walked me through solving the issue and I am back in business Keep up the good work                     gT comer

Great backup for wandering in the woods without getting lost Some cool features would be to measure the total distance traveled show a trace where you have passed and add interest points on the map But now I m just acting spoiled                 Sojan Janso

This is the best app for offline navigation ever seen use your own maps save memory and you will never get fooled unlike others that tell you tha map has expired when you re out in the jungle CustomMaps reliably guided me on my tour on Timor East Island last summer The area was not covered by conventional navigators Be precise in creating your own map and you will get an accuracy down to 2 3 meters only depending on you re phone s capability                     Bruce Drumond

I haven t use this app for some times When I tried to open an old added map to view today the app didn t show the jpg map This happens to some old added maps but not all Strange             Some old added maps do not show Cmm Stephens

Love it But needs a way to add edit tie points after a map is saved It d also be nice if it took a guess as to where I am on Google maps first tie point And it should be able to guess the third tie point s Google map location really close By the time two tie points are entered it has location scale and rotation As it is I would pay for this app Add some features and I ll buy you lunch                     Louie Gee

Absolutely amazing app Does exactly what I wanted I was looking for an app for this specific purpose found this one and it works Overall it s very barebones no fancy features and sure some extra features might be nice too However it does exactly what it needs to do without any problems                     Leo Dillon

I love this app works just great I have used it with scans of paper maps saved as jpg images as well as photos taken with my phone camera and they work fantastic You may need to adjust the points for accuracy when you first use an image but there is no similar function in any app that I know of Email share the Geo referenced map image to a regular computer user and the KML file opens in Google Earth in the correct position and scale I also use exported images of mapping info and tracks from QGIS but that s another story Now if this was only also available for IPhone Kudos to the author                     Willy Froese
