i really liked this app inially then it started crashing and taking the whole phone down with it I ve tried reinstalling it but the result is the same The crashes are so bad that phone settings get corrupted such a shame as this app is great Sadly I ve had to uninstall it I ve given it 4 stars because this but it may be fine on your phone so definitively give it a go Update After hearing from the developer with regards to the corruption to my phone I m assured that it is not possible for their app to be the cause Whatever the case I still can t use the app but would urge anyone to try it as it is feature packed and an otherwise great app Some phones for some unknown reasons just don t do what s expected I may have one of those phones                 Mike Henderson

I had initial doubts about data use but these were unfounded as it works without data on Its best to have your phone plugged in as with all this type of app they obviously use a lot of battery as its videoing all the time                     adrian cackett

l installed v6 via google play at LG G4 and it works Based on may21 review l tried to download v6 from my cell phone yet the link seems blocked by chrome l used my laptop to download and installed on my car android 8 1 got two icons and tried to run either no effect does it work on car android set xcdvr1 works but says no card             Joe Cox

Works okay but I noticed some recent quicker battery drainage since I downloaded this app I even tried to force stop the app and I also tried to restart phone I seem to have increased internet data lag as well Update I meant battery usage AFTER I stopped recording because I had arrived after my destination             David Steele

WHY disabled charger based auto start This is the most important option for a dashcam automatic start and automatic stop I would like to meet and talk with the person who decided to remove this option         Geza Kasa

The app worked fantastic for the first day I used it I dunno what happened over night but the next day when I would open the app it would open to the video library and there was absolutely no way to go to the camera There s no icon to take you there and the back button just exited the app Clearing the cache and the app storage fixed the problem one time then the next time I opened it same thing Stuck in the video library with no way out Such a shame         Adam Saffin

I really like the app and idea to use the cell phone to capture what s going on when driving evidence in case of an accident stupid cops e g To get a fife star rating it would be nice to use maybe the standard camera app with auto WB exposure ISO e g It s just to difficult to adjust when driving The other bonus function would be the use of front and rear cell phone camera simultaneously even while sacrificing the resolution To have a rock solid evidence this would be great                 Peter Lambrecht

Love this dvr app for most features and customization on my Android Just am frustrated by the auto power up it brings up the app in portrait mode vs reverse landscape mode as programmed in the settings To work correctly I have to open the app manually this opens in the correct landscape mode and manually press record The automated stop record shutdown when power removed works flawlessly Something is not right when power is connected when my Samsung Emerge is in standby mode             Mike Steigers

I use this every day and have done for at least a year but I am about to switch to something new Too often the action I try to capture happens BETWEEN VIDEOS why is it that even with settings set to minimize video gaps I still never manage to capture what I want Maybe I will return if you allow for continuous recording or make the gaps between videos a lot lot less very frustrating as everything else about this app is great But what is the point in any of it if you can t catch the action             Sammyferkinbizzle Burton

Love the app been using it for several years Unfortunately the GPS speed data does not work properly when connected to Android Auto It still records and saves the footage fine but the speed data is off When not connected and using the phone by itself it works fine                 Joe Camilleri

Last 3 events I have tried to save haven t So really there is no point in using this I had a whole lot of files in the temp folder from half way through my trip protected folder was empty Auto delete is on and card wasn t even full It has worked in the past but if I can t rely on it then I have to look elsewhere             A Google user

Fantastic piece of software that has helped me on several occasions when I was out in the company van I had it installed on a tablet which multi functioned as dashcam satnav and media player Came in handy justifying to the little Hitler of a supervisor that I was late for the work because of traffic issues and with the sound working he soon realised not to give me instructions near the vehicle or else he could never deny them As my tablet has now died and I now want to install it into the car would the software accept a USB camera when I get a new tablet It would save blocking half the view by sticking the tablet to the window                     Ken Wilkins
