The mydlink is now available as a free download on Google Play for Android owners. The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 2.6.1 has been released on 2021-10-19. Admittedly I m using an older DCS 2132L but the app recently stopped showing anything in the Timeline page times out I need to stick the SD card in a PC to view the video Looks like the latest cameras don t offer SD card recording anyway Live View often times out and Night Vision has stopped working also possibly camera issues not the app After using the app for a while I think the interface is pretty good Especially for free             Mark Snelling

Pretty straight forward to set up however the app is very temperamental continually crashes I ve uninstalled u0026 reinstalled multiple times still having problems I ve emailed the developer twice with zero response Whats the point of spending on a good camera set up if you cant view it on your mobile There is also only sound on recorded events not live viewing Impressed with the video quality however not very stable     raww living

DCS8600LH live view is broken since last update on Android 9 0 Hangs on the spinning loading icon and reconnect prompt appears when trying to go fullscreen Need to force close the app then restart to make it work again Also have trouble playing videos from the sd card occasionally says no clip found when clicking on the video thumbnails             R Potter

Disaster I have a great network and a phone with android 8 0 but it never worked the way it claims I would get notices but wouldn t be able to see live feeds only the recording and unable to utilize the 2way talk function Afterwards I d need to reset it so could continue to monitor 2 days of frustration I returned the whole system     Edith Uehara

Overall pretty much what you d expect Pan tilt u0026 zoom works OK from the phone app There s sometimes a bit of a delay in camera response to finger input on the phone or even non response Also picked up a few non events on camera but that s better than missing real ones I was expecting the camera to track motion too but it didn t Haven t been able to view u0026 control from pc is that even possible If not why not Also it won t replay consecutive recordings when reviewing a list             Clive Sutcliffe

not to easy to set up but not that hard either Just takes a little time like trying to read a very very small pin number on the bottom of the camera you need 20 20 vision for this there could do with being more options to choose from also such as how loud you here background noise or if it would allow you to turn the volume up and down yourself other than this it s not to bad just needs a little improvement                 Carter Dude

D link have 4 apps to control their IoT stuff This one is the best one and I still rate it 1 star would rate less if I could App looks old fashioned the worst part scheduling smart plug allow for 5 minute minimum no possiibilities to set shorter schedule example 1 minute Will change my rating when app allow to turn on smart plug for less than 5 minutes Meanwhile this smart plug is dead Will not recommand     Jean-Marc Castoldi

The app is awkward and hard to use Instructions are inadequate Continuous recording during the scheduled time without a trigger would be a good feature I spend a lot of time struggling with the app trying to make it do what I want You can t tell if a schedule is currently running The definition of a schedule is cumbersome and cannot go past midnight Only one schedule can be active at a time         Chip Mattson

Since the most recent update the app does not work well The Multiview order no longer stays where it is set the order changes randomly The Privacy Mode takes much longer to activate And the motion detection has gotten worse clouds moving overhead get reported but jumping up and down in fron of the camera lens does not Please fix these bugs or revert to the software settings before this latest terrible update                 Lorne M.

Im not sure which direction to take this review My cameras work but im having a really hard time calibrating the motion sensitivity so im either getting to many false results or no results at all Ive linked to google home although i am able to get a picture on my lenovo hub im not able to get a pictuere on my phone thru google home app 15 second recordings are too short id love a 24hr recording subscription option             Frank Croft

Love all about it except that the films that are saved are about 15secounds even though its still movement in the room at the end of the film I would love longer clips and that the camera gave us a chance before stopping to record because often we stay still for 0 5secounds and then it shuts down and start a new film few secounds later Longer clips that were marked where it was movement would be much better or that the clips lastet for example 1minute after the movement stopped         Sandra Nordvik

sluggish keeps dropping out and having to restart it alerts notifications can be half an hour late how to set up a one tap or a shortcut takes either luck or a major in rocket science to say could do better is an understatement make it more user friendly and more reliable and it could be a real winner I m giving 3 stars becomes it s half way to being a great app             Rik Scott

I have been having issues with the microphone for months I ve sent numerous emails to support and haven t receive one email I find it upsetting that I spend hundreds on this camera system to have no help at all Pathetic     Tee K.

I have way better camera apps for mobile use but I installed this to get my cameras to work with Google Home This app only finds 6 of my 9 D LINK cameras and has no process like my other camera apps that I can find whereby I can provide it with an IP address u0026 port of the missing cameras so that they re all found Quite amateurish there D Link especially since all of the missing cameras are your DCS 5020L s     Richard Friend

Purchased camera and set it up Seems simple System kept telling timed out or exceeded maximum times Yes you can change a setting but why doesn t it go standard to that setting There is no way to access from a computer apple or pc Controlling pan and tilt with app is delayed making precise movements in real time almost impossible Controlled movement is difficult to adjust sometimes it moves correctly and other times it moves in opposite direction Other problem presented as well         Gregory Chabassol

I would give a better review it crashes a lot and I tried it on my Motorola E5 and Also my Samsung S7 So you might get that problem Its complicated compared to my CloudEdge Outdoor Camera and my Eco4Life camera Apps It does the job though and free one day recording with 3 Cameras             Paul Langdon

Feedback from recent update The privacy on icon has changed from red to orange One taps not working Weeks on email phone support and several uninstall install reboots deleting and adding cams back in no help Grrrr WELL after submitting screenshots tech was able to get all my one taps working I was ready to cancel my account but they came through 5 star support is spotty This all started with an update that had issues Now corrected Back to being happy with Dlink                 Don Ferron

This app is full of useless option It does not allow proper configuration of camera and it made the very nice program on my browser useless as the mobile app takes over the settings I have bought 4 cameras from dlink the last being the 8525 and now I intend to throw them all in the garbage and go with proper security system I do not want wireless or Bluetooth in my home and now I have no option to disable it in this crummy dlink app Dlink light was great You screwed it up     Nod Dranoel nofiat.forme

Takes records multiple images of the same event has a habit of freezing during playpack does not record complete events from start to finish ie stops recording while movement is still occurring owners manual was not easy to acquire 1st type of equipment I have used for the money not bad I guess but could be a lot better Maybe Nest is better more but may be better Decent quality images nice zoom really like the SD card option overall decent purchase             David Newton

recently i bought the new dcs 8515LH i notice when i set the camera preset it never works i zoom in a particular spot but when i view again it went back to the before zoom spot please improve it thanks i change all my home camera to dlink but abit disappointed on this new camera on the above feature mention i intend to buy the new camera system which is wireless soon         Ongwee Lim

UPDATE ap loosing connection alot trying a reinstall works great got the camera as a baby monitor because it was way cheaper but with great quality pans and tilts though I find that a little touchy you say move a little and it moves a lot but thats the camera not the ap best of all camera is plugged in and of course my phone has great battery so not worried about battery life which seems to be a big thing with baby monitors all in all very happy             Amanda Devine

Update I have now sent 6 emails across a 20 day period to the Dlink support address and haven t had a single response of any kind Do not buy any of these products as they clearly dont care or work Terrible App I would suggest buying something else The App crashes 90 of the time you try to use it it starts to load and just hangs When it doesn t crash on start up the sign in button freezes so you cant actually log in On the rare occasion you can get it working it actually works quite well     Brad Roberts
