ESpeak is my favourite TTS engine across platforms because it is fast lightweight multilingual and of course Open Source Until this version came along there were no functional ports for Android and most if not all other alternatives were either lacking in stability usability or responsiveness This one is the ticket ESpeak s tone will not please all but otherwise it has most of what a good TTS should have most especially to use with a screen reader such as TalkBack Support Open Source                     The best TTS engine out there S Massy
