The Eurosport Player is now available as a free download on Google Play for Android owners. The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. The new Eurosport Player app version 1.3.7 has been updated on 2014-01-13. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. Truly abysmal It worked once or twice but now it simply won t open It spends up to 5 minutes trying to log in then wrongly says Eurosport is not available in this country where I am subscribed and it works fine on PC PS4 Why would anyone purchase a subscription to sports events when you make it this difficult to use it     Emmet Kiberd

Unfortunately I am unable to access my subscription on any device other than my phone on which I have originally purchased it Which basically means I paid for a subscription that should work on any device but I can only access it from my phone So I had to pay for another subscription to watch US Open on my laptop from the SAME ACCOUNT I would like a refund for both of my subscriptions and please solve this problem asap     Laura Barb

If you activate your subscription here it will not reflect if you log in the same account on desktop But if you pay your subsctiption on desktop it will work on mobile poor unworthy developers Reply u lie It will not work Your support told me to buy the subscription on web also if i want web So i am forced to pay 2 times for the same subscription and same account Once per android once per web Your support refuses to refund me Ticket id 127495     Andrei-Alexandru Burceag

Streaming quality has been good so the app has that going for it but all in all a disappointment of an app No live stats are provided for large events like Tour de France You would think in 2019 an app like this would offer picture in picture a feature long standing on the iOS equivalent for the iPad but there is no sign of that at all I can t even browse the app without having to sacrifice playback of current content There is no hint of multitasking supported by this app not even background audio just disappointing Top it off with ads every 5 minutes it becomes a shocker considering the fee paid for the subscription in the first place         LTD

Streaming works but in what language My phone language my preferred language is English so normally and logically most Apps will start and use the user s preferred language not this App I live in the German part of Switzerland so German could be for me also a good language but this App ignored that too Instead to my surprise I got Spanish maybe because I installed and started using the app in Spain If I had been in Russia Russian language And Chinese if in China Odd             Fernando Alvarez

Chromecasting to 1st Gen Chromecast device is nearly useless It tries to play the highest 50fps quality jumps between that and the second highest quality resulting in constant unwatchable buffering Ironically it works without issues in a slower wireless network because then the app understands that it can t play the highest quality         Timo Palomaa

Used to love this app and indeed on my PS4 i can use the player no problem but on my phone continually tells me that its unavailable in my country Not good enough I m in the UK An update Contacted Eurosport told me it was my issue which it isn t 1 day later I made no changes it started working again worked for 2 weeks but now the same issue I have my GPS on high accuracy constantly so not that i have the latest version of the app I ve deleted and reinstalled it twice     Chris Knight

Works well but not without issues Occasionally have to restart the app a couple of times because it will open up blank at first Also when casting to chromecast the stream sometimes skips about cutting back 30 seconds and then jumping back forward to the live coverage which is pretty annoying The quality of streaming is good just wish they could sort out the bugs             Liam Bromiley

Used to be a great service but unfortunately they have lost control of their own scheduling the programs and times listed on their website on the app and all TV listings services are completely off and the showings are just random At times the channels show different audio and video neither from the listed programme     Arho Toikka

love having this available in my phone connection and picture quality is good and the subscription package is really good value however the programme guide is a bit rubbish is it not possible to have a short description of each event as you get on televisions it s really hard to tell what a programme really is for instance is it re run of an event last year or a highlights package                 Matthew Ford

Really disappointed by the app and it s a shame for the eurosport brand The app itself does not properly work most of the time I start it E g I can not select the sport type at the top or the content does not load at all Killing the app completely fixes the issue then Additionally bought a subscription using Google play but it still prompts me to pay on my iPad App is also not available for Android TV         Marcel Mohler

They make it almost impossible to unsubscribe The help tells you to log in to your account to unsubscribe if you joined via the website However when you reopen the website and click log in you get a screen telling you to download the app with no way back to the login screen I already have the app but i can t unsubscribe using the app as I joined via the website     Allan Blackburn

This app is terrible You cannot play live content via Chromecast You can watch it fine on your phone but as soon as you cast it freezes after 30secs then just buffers Broadband is 40mbps Catch up content casts just fine for some reason But to have such an issue with live content for something you re paying for is not really acceptable I m having to watch the Tour Dr France on itv         Steve Hepworth

A most frustrating ap It s worked ok on my tablet but now it keeps telling me that Eurosport iPlayer is not available in this country I m in the UK No amount of reinstalling or rebooting my tablet has any effect The iPlayer works ok on my computer via Google     Derek Watson

Cannot understand the negative comments bought a monthly subscription specifically for Wimbledon on the Eurosport Player website extremely easy Downloaded the app for Android TV logged in works fine also downloaded the app for my phone and tablet logged in again worked perfectly Will see how the month works out but so far absolutely no problem whatsoever                     Varaloba One

I was hopefully possibly naive to think this would work properly after reading countless of negative and poor reviews about this app I have difficulties to comprehend why I am even paying for it The customer support is poor and the stream footage constantly lacks and jumps the footage is never screened 1 to 1 live it s very poor and I m highly disappointed someone needs to pay me my money back     Wally Kwakye

I m happy with eurosport player it s easy to navigate and plenty of sports on offer Never had an issue loading the app on my Pixel 3 or TV My only gripe is the stream quailty which is fairly poor by modern standards I ve never achieved a 1080p stream despite having a fast reliable internet connection                 gareth morton

Have been using this app for many years but the issues with Chromecast are getting ridiculous now It s a shame as the channel has the best cycling coverage but the constant stuttering and repetition ruin the viewing experience     Justin Berman

Today 26 of July 2019 cannot watch tour de france on demand with commentary only ambient sound Not for the first time I m respone to eurosportresponse I Am not watcing bonus feeds such as bike mounted cameras and complaining of lack of commentary I m watching the stage as orininally broadcast It s like watching the news on demand but without the reporters voices Its watchable but not what I paid for         Gethyn Rees

Chromecast problems Works fine on tablet or phone but can t use it with Chromecast Live streaming either freezes completely or jumps back and forth I have to cast from my pc which is really inconvenient but does work This has been a problem for well over a year now             S Moody

I m trying to watch Wimbledon but there is no way to search for players matches or even court numbers or match times Also not even a general schedule of matches Also despite paying relatively much for a single channel I still have to watch commercials Streaming quality seems good though         Rick Quax

I have signed up for a 12 month subscription I downloaded the player and it says it isn t available in my country I m in the UK This is ridiculous I wouldn t mind if I wasn t paying for it and not in a contract Sort it out guys your development team need a refresh     Lee Bowtell

Why do I have to enable location services Which I don t want to do Had to spoof my location to use it Also password reset on mobile doesn t work because the site redirects you to the mobile app version my password manager didn t pick the site up at registrion The app is ok but the location services permission brings down Will try some more tomorrow but probably will ask for a refund because I just don t want to enable location services on my equipment Don t rely on these services just to geolocation by IP which many users will also spoof because of VPN usage Privacy of your user base should be higher up you priority list     G J

Cannot log on anymore and states can not view in this country Change log had problems with app so uninstall and a deep clean switch off back on now back to normal no idea why but had not used phone app for a while impressed with response from Eurosport                     nigel williams
