Too Many Fees This used to be a great app but now a ton of hotels charge a resort fee on top of the cost of the hotel You now have to pay tax hotwire s fee the hotel resort fee and the cost of the hotel All those additional fees cause the price of the hotel room to double in cost If the hotel is listed for 90 after all the fees you will pay around 160 Hotwire should refuse to do business with any hotel that charges a resort fee or get them to waive the fee     Scott D

Fix Your Currency Display This is the second time now I ve booked through your app after specifically setting it to display prices in Canadian dollars only to discover that the price was still in USD It s absurd to see something that looks halfway reasonably priced only to find out moments later it s a full 200 more than what I was expecting     Jeff Netzke

It used to be great deals but now the taxes they add to the room rates average between 20 and 30 percent making the bottom line cost not any less than any other site Too bad I used to love their deals         Harald Weinkum

When doing an initial search the app neglects to build in the mandatory resort fees into the results For example the app touted a hot rate of 107 for a 5 star resort but when you select the hotel it shows in the fine print excludes 44 resort fee How about showing the not so hot rate of 151 up front and make the app somewhat useful for price comparisons I ll give the app an extra for not being as bad as Priceline in this regard they don t show you any resort fees until the final check out         Mark B

I am definitely not a fan of this app Booked a non smoking room Of course the app changed it to a smoking room The individual at the counter asked where I booked and before I can answer he said was it Hotwire or Expedia I told him it was Hotwire and he let me know this happens a lot With my luck all the double rooms were all booked Had no choice but to stay in a smoking room Once we got in there we could not take it Immediately had to request another room they had available     Ebersaint Joseph

Excellent prices and accommodations I rented a car from Hotwire and when I went to pick up my car from Dollar rentals they did not have the car I paid for on hotwire and charged me 132 extra to get a similar car I called Hotwire and after a couple weeks and a few verifications that I was actually charged they refunded me the fees which I was charged I appreciate it and have been back for more business knowing that my purchase here is guaranteed                     paula hogans

BEWARE Hotwire is not the same as it used to be The app had an error and put a hold on funds on my card I then succeeded but was given a 1 star motel instead of a 2 5 star hotel DO NOT USE THIS APP I m not ever going to use this service again     M C

Hotwire has great deals However I have found it doesn t automatically show you promo codes if you are already logged into the app I have had to go to the website get the code and then apply it when I check out in the app Come on Hotwire you don t have to make us work for the discounts                 Shelley Jack

today i had an issue with booking my hotel i called hotwire immediately after seeing the mistake I called at 230pm i was on the phone until 730 i spoke with agents who kept pushing me off on some one else putting me on hold every few minutes not listening to me as i was trying to explain things it took 4 hours for a supervisor to talk to me and then i had to pay for the mistake they made ill never use this again     Kei Marie

I planned my vacation in advance booking two hotels on Hotwire I had a medical emergency occur which caused me to cancel my need for one reservation I called Hotwire to try to cancel They told me I needed to submit Doctor s documentation that I was under medical care in order to cancel This will be the LAST time I ever use Hotwire     Chuck Par-Due
